Purple and Grey membership launch New for 2019 membership scheme for artists with benefits!

Press Release!

Purple and Grey are an art group with a difference, they pride themselves on helping artists fast track into either an art career or access quickly the right tools to enjoy art as a hobby. Their new yearly membership programme aims to offer something no other art group locally is and that is all round benefit for the artist.
Purple and Grey have been running for three years now and have helped many artists launch careers and support those for whom art is a hobby. They strongly believe in bringing city style opportunities to the Derbyshire countryside and they can provide the much-needed information to rural artists. Based in and around Matlock they are perfectly positioned to reach out to all corners of the county.

Being a rural artist means it is often a challenge to visit exhibitions, meet new people or to access the kind of opportunities that a city like Manchester or Nottingham can offer. Purple and Grey love being based in the beautiful surrounds of the Peak District and exploring the possibilities that it can offer an artist. They are delighted that they have the support of over ten local businesses who have been generous in their offers to their artists these include, discounts at local framers, galleries, cafes, and eateries. Membership also includes twenty free art group sessions, one free art marketing workshop and a free live professional artist demonstration. There is also a discounted rate to take part in their successful Fresh and Unframed exhibition.

‘We believe our membership is a holistic approach, through us you can benefit from learning, creating, promoting and displaying your artwork as well as the social side of friendship and we teamed up with great eateries too because all the great artists love to meet and discuss over good food and coffee!’
